I couldn't find the right tool anywhere, so I literally tore the fucking thing off for my podi and then had my shop screw it back on.lol.

it's something like t-8 or t-10, im not exactly sure, the good news is most hardware shops sell these small drivers from t10 - t6 in a package of 4, and its usually on clearence bc.....well who the fuck needs a torx driver that small?
but yea, i can imagine that if you really wanted to not buy the cheap drivers, that you could rip the column off, and then use (2) self tapping screws that would work as its not a threaded screw....
i think that would be harder then locating the drivers tho

It's a T8 torx. Found mine at sears. Had to buy the t-handle set because it was the only thing that would reach.

This is what I got, its cheap but works and I have had to use practically the whole set so it was a good buy imo.

for a set like that damn oh well though, I went to all the stores around me and no one had those and after searching and not being able to find it I asked the store clerks if they had a long t8 bit, I swear I got blank stares and they thought I was an idiot and making something up. this was at lowes, walmart, autozone, and a local hardware store.

They don't hire too many bright employees to ring something up. I got the same reaction. Had to find it at sears. The employee didn't have a clue what I was talking about.

It gets really bad when they try to convince you that you can get the job done with a completely different tool.
