Go ahead and flame, but I am sooooo tired of reading posts about this subject. (I know, I am adding another one [headbang])

Ok. I bought the DDM Slim HID kit and the Dectane LED lights. (I bought the lights a long time ago, just tired of the crappy output). Not ready for OEM Xenon yet, maybe someday.

I installed the HID kit and after trying it, found that one of the bulbs was junk. Set everything aside while I waited for DDM to order another bulb from overseas.

Once I got the new one, tried again and I don't get any light at all. Checked both ballasts and both bulbs. Nothing.

I have tried to find an answer but there are too many posts and no definate answers out there.

Do I need the eliminators?

Or are my ballasts bad?

Bulbs?

Can I connect the ballast to the battery to test the ballast (and bulb)? Does it just need 12v to work?

Do I need to VAG before they will turn on?

Someone help me (sending me a new set of OEM bi-xenons, will work too).

By the way, going from OEM Halogens.

Thanks in advance.

Try reversing the polarity, My DDM kit worked individually (one light at a time) with normal polarity, but when I hooked up both lights I had to reverse the wires to get them to function consistently.

Same thing happened to me with my ddm hid kit. Had to switch the polarity.

Ok. Do I need to reverse the polarity before the ballast or before the bulb?

reverse the polarity where it hid kit plugs into the headlight harness.

I need to trouble shoot my DDM kit as well, not the slim. Passenger side flickers constantly after turning on, when it starts to flicker I can hear static coming through my speakers if they're turned on. I've found that I can get the light to go out if I use the window controls on my door.

Another question, should the white piece along side the bulb be on top or bottom when installed in the headlight housing?

H7 bulbs should only be able to fit one way.

Only questioning b/c when they came in the mail from who I purchased them from, they appeared to be installed incorrectly as far as matching the shape of the housing to the outside of the bulb. I believe this was with the white piece on the bottom, but they definitely were able to go in both ways, just need to know which way is correct I guess.
