Ok, so tonight i started mounting my new clutch and lwfl kit from 034.
Luckily for me my friend owns his own shop and helps me out with my car. :)
Got the gearbox and old clutch and flywheel of today, will mount it all togheter tomorrow.
Here are some pictures during the process. Was thinking about making a DIY but my tec UK language is soo bad so no one would have understood whats
been written.
It took about one hour to get it all out :)

So over to my question. Due to the fact that the new flywheel isnt the same height as the old one:

Im i supposed to remove this distance piece between the gearboks and the engine?

Anyone have a clue? Does the difference in height affect the clutch with the distance piece mounted?

Hi Jon,
The stack height of the complete kits should be the same, and you need to keep the factory Audi transmission spacer installed when installing our clutch & flywheel package. [:)]
Hope that helps!

I gotta get watching more 034 stuff. issam @ INA said he can get parts to Ottawa for us canadians and ships out once or twice a week from there, really helps in the end. (tip for the canucks)
Let us know how it goes once she's all button'dup.
Make sure you give that clutch a nice break in too, unless Laszlo says different.

So today i got it all mounted togheter.
Had some problems with the fitment of the flywheel. The center hole was to small to fit on the engine where its supposed to be :p ( again bad tec language )
The center hole here:

Didnt fit on this part:

I was thinking of returning this to 034 because i dont have the best tools to fix this. I wasnt to happy with opening the hole more myself due to the fear of vibration when the flyweel is of center. Did some measuring and there was so little that had to be removed. 0,1 - 0,2 mm.
So we used one of these:

And finally got the lwfw to fit:

The rest of the process went pretty smooth, and time all togheter unmount and mount was 4-5 hours.
The first feeling when driving is that its not as "hard" as i would imagine, postivily suprised the driving feeling of this.
There is some vibrations and chatter ( more than oem ) when at low idle at 3-4-5 gear and you start to accelerate. But its not bad, very precise clutch.
The pedal did change abit. The place where it normally would work (pedal 50% moved from floor) have now moved out to about 90% from floor. Hope this makes sense :p
Anyhow, im going for a long roadtrip tomorrow. 200 miles. I will let you know how that was :)
One thing, does anyone know is this clutch and lwfw has to be driven carefully the first miles? or is it possible to floor the pedal at once ?

Hi Jon,
The B7 2.0T FSI flywheel is designed to be a .15mm press-fit onto the crankshaft. The easiest way to install it is to heat it up slightly, since on this particular application the bolts aren't long enough to pull the flywheel onto the crank. [wrench]
I'd recommend taking it easy for the first 50-100 miles, although full break-in (for launches and hard shifting) takes up to 500 miles or more with the Stage 3+ disc. [up]
Glad to hear you have it installed; I like the pedal feel much more than the sock clutch, which seems very vague and mushy.

Thanks for clearing that out Lazlo :)
Seems like a quality product, will do some driving with it and let you all know how it feels after a a couple of hundred miles.
