Hi. I have two small gremlins in my 2.0TFSi Q Tip Avant. Just posting this to see if anyone else have had the same errors, and if there is some quick fixes. (Before biting the bullet and takeing it to the stealers.)

1. Backing sensor.
They are not working anymore. It started with the speaker sounded like it was blown when it made the beeps. Was like that for a while before it went dead. At the same time the "beeb" sound from when you put the gearselector in reverse disappeared. Anyone know what this might be?

2. Left inner taillight. (The one located on the tailgate)
Got an errorcode on the dash claiming a broken taillight. Tried to cange the bulb (tried 4 bulbs), but no luck. Anyone on here had the same issue?

Thankfull for any relplies

That backing sensor/reverse indicator has to be a seperate speaker that's crapped out. No clue where it is though.

Regarding the parking sensor I found this:

With your reverse indicator going out at the same time as the speaker, and it getting "crackly" sounding, I'd bet that if you took off the harness that connects to your shifter, you'd find some corrosion in there. Clean that up and (if you can get it) put some corrosion inhibitor on each pin individually. You don't want signals getting crossed!

Can't help you with the taillight issue since I haven't had that one. Good luck!

How do i access that on my Tiptronic?

I'd start pulling trim panel around your shift mechanism, or get under it (safely!) and see what's connected. I spin 6 gears manually, so that's the best I can do for you.

I've had the same error code for my rear license plate lights. I have b7 avant. It seems to be related to opening and closing the rear lid. If I'm lucky the side effect is that my taillights come on and stay on until I start the car or sometimes open a door. The German gremlins are so well designed that my service Advisor can't even find them. They exist - no idea how to fix.
