Hello fellow AZers,
This is a question in regards to get rid of every STOCK audio components and run it all aftermarket.
Before we start, I have a 2005 A4 Non-bose Symphony 2 system.
I already have a Pioneer DVD Double Din P4300 headunit, focal splits and component speakers/matching 4 channel amp & type r subwoofer. I'm planning to buy a monoblock to power the subwoofer.
Now my questions lies with the technical installation side of things:
1. I was wondering when I install it..what type of harness do I need? I was reading that a connects 2 will do the job, but I also read that connects2 is used to retain factory amplifier & speakers which is not what I will be using. Can I use the free Scosche harness that came from sonicelectronix since Im going aftermarket...If you could recommend me something that will support steering wheel controls too, that would be great!
2. If I use the existing wiring in the car...will my speakers be set up like stock (which for non bose is Front powered by Headunit & Rears powered by amp) If I wish for all speakers to be running off new amp, does this mean I have to rewire the front speakers to run to the boot (where the amp will be).
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Ouchdi
