Hi y'all

I started my car yesterday and got the 'jellyfish turning left' message on my color display. Both headlights work and did their little 'control sweep'. It was not that dark so I couldn't see if they were adapting while cornering.

I had some problems with dipped headlights 2 years ago but replacing one bulb solved the problem.

I plugged in my laptop and this is the fault code.

I think my ballast is us, but I wanna be sure because it's real expensive. :(

How can I replace it? Is under the headlight... so I have to take the bumper off and headlight to replace the ballast?

Is there a cheap solution? Maby only checking the cables or something?

Many thanks!

David

I just did a testdrive and my lights aren't turning left and right while cornering. The lights do the controlsweep though.

I have the same fault as you. I believe i broke something in my headlight while doing the cc mod. Haven't really found any fix and have been contemplating buying a new headlight just to get that error message to stop flashing. Being that my headlight still works fine (with the exception of afs) I will continue to live with it.

Who can help me?

I have the exact same thing happening to me. From my understanding the adaptive headlight is either not turning with the car around corners or adjusting to ascents and descents on hills. My problem is with the ascent, descent part. Once triggered the headlight will stop adjusting the headlights to roadway inclinations. The error message will trigger with a loud beep several times while driving. It will also happen while going over speed bump, through dips (slow or fast) etc.

My front left (drivers left) xenon bulb will also occasionally go out (dipped headlight) after starting and driving the car around. For it to re-fire I have to turn all headlights off and retry, this may take a few times before they will eventually fire, as you could imagine very unsafe while driving around other cars at night haha.

Any thoughts or insight would be greatly appreciated both upon my own situation and David2739s situation.
