Sup guys, I'm looking to get a compustar remote start / alarm system installed in my b5 s4 01.5, I did go to 3 installers I got from the compustar website.

1st shop was rude and short to answer my questions over the phone so I won't give my money to a straight d***k.

2nd shop was awesome spent time answering all my questions on the phone and in the shop. If he gave me a price I would have paid then and there, seemed professional with some high end cars in the shop being worked on. But guy said he get back to me with a price, that was Saturday called him weds, he said he'd call me back in an hour. Only did call me back after I called compustar asking for other installers today. Kinda flakey...

3rd shop guy was cool said he'd take care off me and all my concerns, left a deposit set up an appointment. This morning he calls saying " I spoke to tech support and the steering wheel needs to be removed and your car has an air bag so I'm gonna have to pass." [headbang]

Seriously I feel my car is a target right now ,so I wanna get this done . Dose anyone know of any quality installers in Connecticut that's not rude, flakey or can handle a 20 min steering wheel removal.

Thanks

Wow, ive done plenty alarm/remote starts on b5's and never would have to bug out about taking the steering wheel off. I guess since they probably dont own a vag-com and are freaked out if you had an airbag light. b5's are relatively easy cars to do this stuff on.

talked to an audi guy @ compustar that confirmed the steering wheel removal.

CKYMike- would you be able to provide a wiring diagram/schematic for the B5? I'm looking to install an alarm myself and would not mind tackling it myself...I've already got the VAG-Com and experience as an electrical engineer and shade tree mechanic/stereo/alarm installer.

Thanks!

Thanks Mike, so why would one need to take the Steering wheel off as alluded to above?
