Background:
Installed a Viper 5901 remote starter / alarm; I used an Expresskit DBALL, which I flashed for our vehicles. The DBALL hooks into the CAN-BUS and in turn picks up all the 'unlock, lock, arm, disarm, light flash, e-brake status, door triggers, hood / trunk trigger, tach status, foot brake status' as well as allowing the aftermarket alarm key fob to arm and disarm the factory alarm, and the factory key fob to arm and disarm the aftermarket alarm. It does all this through 12+, ground, and 2 CAN-BUS wires. Works awesome, yay..
Problem:
The aftermarket key fob will lock and arm the factory alarm, however, when you hit unlock, it will unlock but not disarm the factory alarm, so as soon as you click unlock, it'll unlock the doors and cause the factory alarm to immediately go off. It's supposed to disarm the factory alarm, I don't know why it doesn't considering everything else works perfect, and it's obviously integrated fine because the Viper remote will arm the factory alarm, and the Viper alarm will alert me when the car is locked / unlocked using the factory remote.
Reason for posting:
I've looked flippin' everywhere online for the factory disarm wire. Everything says the factory alarm will disarm with unlock, well that's great.. but it's not.
I looked online for the wire location for door unlock, every wiring diagram I've come across all say the factory unlock wire (which should also disarm the factory alarm) is red / brown in a tan connector behind the driver side kick panel. I've checked through all the wires, there is not 1 single red / brown wire in ANY of the connectors. All the other wires shown in online diagrams for the driver kick panel are correct (horn, ebrake, etc.).
I really would like an OEM alarm wire diagram, or actual location of a factory disarm wire, or an accurate location / color of the unlock w/ disarm wire.
Someone please heeeeeeelp me.
