Does anyone have a good recommendation for a service adviser and tech at this dealership? I'm going to take my car here to get some work done and if you know anyone especially knowledgeable on the B6's...quirks...please let me know! Thanks.

Hey Matt...first question - do you have to go to the dealer? RavenMS is really close, the owner is an Audi Master Tech that used to work for Circle Audi, and they are going to be better priced and offer great service. Many of us go to Raven. My B6 S4 Avant goes to Raven for work, and they recently did a new A/C compressor and the serp belt for me.

HOWEVER...I do take my B8 to Pacific since I have AudiCare. The service manager, Gare, is a great guy. Our Service Advisor is Diego, and he's responsive to our needs and demands. I will say, I think I probably drive them all crazy, as I feel like being on AZ and hanging out with all you guys gives me a ton of knowledge - which they don't always have, or appreciate.

Oh..Hi

If you are going there this Saturday (11/5) they are having an Oktoberfest special from 11:30-4pm. No RSVP needed.
They have $30 4 cylinder oil change, free complimentary vehicle inspection, and 15% off recommended work.

I've never been there but received an email from them. Hope this helps.

Same with my dealership, they really don't like it when I bring up TSB's or other things they think I shouldn't know about as an 18 year old.

That said, Mike (ultra) used to work at Pacific Audi in Sales (I think?), so I'd assume he would know who the guy to talk to would be.

Exactly. They don't like when you bring up TSB's at all. They feel that's private info! Further, they don't like when you talk about what you know is wrong with the car.

Mike did used to work at Pacific. We'll see what he can throw in.

See Adam in service and ask for Mark to work on your car.

If you need after market parts/install or need service/maintanace we would be happy to work on your vehicle.

We have been in the Audi service and performance business since 2001. :)

If any service or business doesn't like informed/knowledgeable people, they probably aren't a business worth supporting because they are obviously trying to feed off and ream the ignorant. I can understand when they have a bunch of know-it-alls who really don't know sh!t telling them what to do but that's not the case here.

Been going into car dealerships my whole life smiling, and sometimes laughing out loud, when once again I know far more than the so called experts they employ.

My dad always said a good salesman can sell tobacco today and Rolls Royce's tomorrow. However, when you're selling something that is inherently steeped in folklore, enthusiast groups and has a mass aftermarket world, you need to do your homework a lot more than the guy selling the Rolls to some rich guy who only wants it because he thinks he should have it.

yeah I know Mark there and I think the rent take their A4 to Diego as well but personnel has changed a bit since I was there.
EuroCode is good too, probably cheaper unless you have AudiCare in which case you've already paid for maintenance anyways

I just bought an extended warranty from Pacific for my 2004 S4 and want to have some quirks looked at before I do a lot of driving in the next few months, specifically the clicking from the front when making turns, the vibrations when making u-turns, and the pinging I get in 3rd gear on light accel despite using 'top tier' fuels. There are no dealers in West LA that I'd ever leave my car with, so thank you for the recommendations on other options. SocalS4Avant: do you know if RavenMS accepts Fidelity warranties? The other selling point w/Pacific is their loaner cars; Santa Monica Audi laughed at me when I asked, even though my last car serviced there was an RS 4. Oh well, it's definitely nice to get out of LA sometimes! :)

I know that Raven does warranty work for sure. Im pretty sure that they do work with Fidelity. Give them a call at 562-495-1300. Ask for Ricardo. He's the shop manager.

I will agree that one of the things I like about Pacific is their loaners. From an oil change service, to big problems, they will give you a loaner.

Penske would only give me a loaner when I broke a certain price threshold, and they were going to have my car for a few days.

Rusnak has never once given me a loaner^

Mostly because I wasn't 18, but they still were going to make me pay for it even when it was a scheduled service under warranty or something they caused...
