Let me introduce first. I got a Dolphin Gray A4 B7 2.0T FSI Quattro Tip and approx, 60k miles on the clock. I reading this forum with great interest as it is a great source for info!
Last month I’ve decided go to stage 1 chip tuning by a well known tuner. As a preventive measure the PCV, hoses and DV (piston type) are renewed and also all intercooler hoses (4) and turbo inlet with silicone hoses. Car runs great, good boost but with full throttle and only above 5000rpm and above I can hear a high pitched squealing noise. When going above 5000rpm and not full throttle no noise. Could be anything but hard to detect were it is coming from. Any ideas were to start looking, is this normal or could it be the turbo on it’s way out?

With all the mods, you are flowing more air into the engine, its called turbo whistle...

LOL, that is so true. That is why we don't carpool to work.

^hah... I do recall a thread about this said squeal/whistle. I used to have this issue as well but I never figured it out. After I installed my Stasis exhaust, the squeal disappeared.

+1. I had this squeeling noise on 2nd gear around 6k rpm. Note to the posters above making fun of OP, it was not the turbo whistling. Well since I installed rev D DV and Stasis Touring exhaust I cant hear the whistle anymore.

Another +1 here. Mine isn't so much a squeal as it is the sound of a screaming banshee. Seriously. Been meaning to get the Rev D for a while now, might as well go for it.
