so whats the deal, are sylvania silverstars a possibility for my car, 1999.5???? i went to the website and they gave me a light model number and a pic. im just wondering if they will fit my car cause our headlights are the globe lights, and the lights i see in the store arent globes. is it a direct fit if i buy the silverstars or do i have something else to hook them up to. im sorry for the sketchy wording, im not good with the words. hopefully someone can help me.[a4]

you need H7 for your headlights (low and high)
and the silverstars do come in those

I have them in My 99.5 and they are great, very bright and very dependable, dont burn out a whole lot. The 99.5's have the one peice projectors, if its not the one peice, and the two peice, its a 99.... hope that helps [up] and yes the 99.5's have the H7 headlights. Knock yourself out

i went from SPP Precision optics to silverstars. silverstars seems to flood the road with light...i can actually see where i'm going now. highly recommended!

p.s. i wouldn't bother with the high beam. they work well enough, and how often do you use them anyway..

I have PIAA's for my low beams and Silverstars for foglights. I had Silverstars in my Eclipse and they were bright, lasted a pretty long time too. I went to PIAA's before i sold it and they didn't seem as bright. Although silverstars look halogen.

i love silverstars but they dont seem to last very long. i had a set in my old car and didnt last me even a year, and i just had one burn out on me the other night and have only had them in since sept. while i love the bulbs, they for some reason havent lasted too long. hopefully you have better luck than i have had.

Bear in mind they're not really blue, they're a more usuable white light.

Great bulb for seeing power (not the blueish crap that doesnt help). I use them in my fogs and love them. If your car is a 1999 1/2 its H7s all around! [up]

I have Phillips BluVisions. I like them, and they've lasted me for well over a year so far.

If I remember right, the lowbeams are H7s, and I want to say the highs are H1s but I know that's not right.

Are the silverstars really alot brighter than stock, or are they just a different color? And if they are brighter, are they worth the money brighter?

They're a tad brighter and tad whiter. Not drastic, no, but definitely better.

if you cant afford piaa or hid id go with them

im a pretty big fan of piaa after comparing them with the silverstars and even with hid

piaa's are awesome they even came out with an hid bulb but they are really expensive, but the damn things are so bright make stock hid look foggy compared to piaa

Silverstars suck no different from stock halogen's. Don't waste your time and money. Go to AMbulbs.com, and order h7's from them!

I also agree, but it's not that noticeable.
I mean it's true that it's whiter (still yellow though), and it's brighter (this is the good part).
If you're looking for a good nice cheap white bulbs, I'll go with luminics hyper white.

PIAA and CATZ are good, but they're pricey.

Do you still need the ballast or is it just the bulbs that looks like the HID one with a better output?
Please explain a bit more about it to me or post some link?
Thanks

^^

well piaa makes all kinds of bulbs but garunteed piaa's quality and light output of bulb is great and is even better than some hid kits when it comes to light output their h7 can look exactly like a hid system and it comes to light output

i'd like some bright ass lights for the high beams and fogs, lows maybe, i plan on going RS6 HID for the low beams,

More on topic, i put silverstars in one side, and decided not to spend the extra $35 fo r the other side, i'll just go w/ HID
