Finally posted a video of my car idling with IE's new race cams. Figured some of you might like to hear what they sounded like....

I'm doing a VR6 build though so they are actually for sale [evilsmile]

We don't have a drool smiley here otherwise I'd have put that too. Sounds badass.

Absolutely amazing. I wish I had the money I'd scoop em up now and just hold on to them till I'm done gathering parts.

Thanks guys. They really do make it sound like a cammed V8.

The looks that people would give me at stop lights was priceless...

I'm sure a cammed VR6 will sound just as sexy though.

Car was completely warmed up as I just got back from a tuning session prior to taking the video. No vacuum leaks either seeing as I had no PCV system and all my vacuum lines were quick connect fittings. A vacuum leak would effect me differently than a regular A4 anyway... since I'm running a standalone any vacuum leak would just raise my idle.

I was referencing the video of my car with the IECVA1s

how many inches of vacuum did you see with these cams at idle, and at what RPM?

Oh sorry, didn't know you had the V1's too. I wasn't sure if you were trying to say your car sounded the same with just a vacuum leak and tune lol.

I had it idle at 950rpm and was experiencing 8-10inHg of vacuum

When does your HTA35r reach 20psi with the cams? Also what exhaust housing are you running?

I'm planning on running a HTA3582r or HTA3586r on my VR6.

Can't tell you any of the above. The car hasn't been off the jackstands since that video was taken. Haven't driven the car with the cams or turbo.

Fair enough. Yeah I noticed a slight decrease in spool up with the cams (about 3-400rpm later spool up) but that is to be expected with any aggressive cam. They really came alive at about 5000rpm though.

Sweet - I bought a pair of these and was waiting for someone to throw up a clip. Sounds great.

Disappointingly, I didn't take an WOT or fly by videos before I took it apart for my VR6 build [>_>]

You guys will just have to use your imaginations...

I wonder if anybody has tried the street intake cam on a k03/k03/elim car yet. Seems like some nice gains for $400!

IE did a bunch of testing for the cams so they have dyno's. Link to their thread on vortex: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5169810-Integrated-Engineering-Race-Cams-119.2hp-GAIN!!!!!! (http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5169810-Integrated-Engineering-Race-Cams-119.2hp-GAIN!!!!!!)

Don't think there would be much of a gain if any on a k03/k04 car. Those turbos are just too small to flow at the top end.
