With the edition of the electric fan conversion I'm tossing the pulley. Once I start, I may not have trans to get another if wrong, so gotta nail it.

5PK1195 or Duralast 470K5 ?

Secondly, the kit was second hand so I have questions on mounting.

I thought I bought a SPP kit http://supremepowerparts.com/2/0/0/5653/1997-2001_Audi_A4_Quattro_1.8T.html, doesn't seem so, , however it DOES have all Audi connections, so it's Audi specfic.

It has three guides/legs that appear to click into a frame work....easy as that or gotta make mounts?

That looks tiny, as if it's the Aux fan next to the viscous fan....

But yes, the belt is 5pk1195.

Yeah looks like it is the AC fan which isn't going to snap into place when replacing the clutch fan seeing that there is no spots to snap it into. For that spot you want a fan that is 14" to 16".

Like GMX said, yes the 5pk1195 is the correct shorter belt if are completely removing the clutch fan. Purems even has it on their site http://www.purems.com/Products/5PK1195.Serpentine-Belt

Its pretty much the same belt. Duralast 47 inches = 1194mm and both have 5 tracks. You wasn't a14, I don't think a16 will fit.

I use a 12inch fan, it works well. You need a very short fan for 14inch and you will be pushing sh1t up hill if you want a 16inch in there, its too wide.
I kept the pulley in place, just cut the viscous clutch housing off flush to the pulley.

I have a 16" fan on my A4, I just had to shave a few spots on the radiator support where the fan was getting mounted to the radiator. I have had it on my car for years and actually use both fans to cool down my FMIC right before I run down the drag strip.

The fan has to be very thin no matter what to clear the clutch fan mounting spot.

Well, looks like I was duked into the OEM fan, and the guy doesn't wanna do the refund telling me just to resell it because I did get a fan and, " Man, I didn't read your thread, and I sent you a picture of the fan......." Let the games begin....

You got the ad handy?

I noticed straight away cos of the Valeo brand marking and your mention of the audi style plugs.

I got mine from Summit Racing which has a good amount of different fans to choose from. There are a few 14" and 16" fans that are only 2" thick that are under $100.
