Okay, so i've got the red headed step child of the audis...the 2.8L [>_>], but anyways it's a pain in the ass to find an aftermarket exhaust system for the 2.8 unless you make a custom exhaust, now i've seen obx makes catback exhausts for 2.8 30vs i've heard they're not so bad for an ebay based company but has anybody actually had an obx catback on their own audi? or does anybody recommend a different after market exhaust to look for? all help is appreciated thanks

I run an S4 catback, all it needs is a reducer for the pipes and it bolts right in. There is a bit too much drone for my liking but apart from that it sounds great and isn't too loud. Plus it's dirt cheap, I picked one up in good condition for $50. OBX is a relatively good brand though and will probably sound better than an S4 catback.

does your catback have the resonators in it? i heard that eliminates the drone...not too sure though. unfortunately i can't find an s4 catback stock as easily as i can for an aftermarket catback but i'll keep looking around just in case. The only problem i'm having is finding a video with an obx catback that doesn't involve the a4 being supercharged -__-

Due to the weird setup of the midpipes only one of my pipes has a resonator. On one side it's right after the cat and on the other it's near the centre muffler. The S4 catback doesn't have a resonator like the stock one so all I have is the one on the midpipe.

Looking for some advice. Made the mistake of changing the exhaust system on my 2000 Audi A6 Avant Quattro wagon. Replaced original cats with Magnaflows. Check engine light kept coming on, went back to Audi cats with 3 inch pipes/mufflers but it doesn't sound right and light is still on. Also very lazy driving now. Should I just buy OEM cat backs or replace complete exhaust with original parts?
