How much bass for a B5 A4 do you guys need?

Hey guys, Im looking to get a sub sytem put in and was wondering how much bass did you guys get? I like my trunk space but also want a solid hitting setup. I am only looking to get 1 sub. I was thinking of going with either the alpine r type 12" rated at 600 watts rms or i was going to get a smaller 10" kicker thats only rated at 150 watts rms. Is the kicker enough or should i just go with the alpine? thanks in advance [poop]

any specific reason you are only looking at these two options? fwiw, i had 300 watts rms and was left wanting more.
