ok i just ordered new rear shocks and mount bushings. my question is, Does the audi a4 b5 2000 fwd turbo also need shock bump stops replaced as well? im sure they do but their not easy to come in online stores. thanks

Look at your bump stop if its not teared or splited, then its fine and it will continue to be fine. It most likely mean the bump stop was hardly ever used.
So if your replacing your OEM shocks with aftermarket units such as Bilstein, you wont have a problem there either even with a mild drop.

You might take a minute to check your upper shock mounts too. I think its more applicable to cars that see a lot of salt and snow, but the rear upper shock mounts in my old A4 were junk. If you're gonna have the shocks out anyway it would be worth looking into. Typically bad upper shock mounts will clunk or rattle when you go over bumps.
