Been checking them out for months now. I've pretty much narrowed it down to the Alpine INA-W910 or one of the new Sony models. Great navigation, iPod integration, Bluetooth are a must. Anyone own one? Feedback? Other recommendations? I'd like some input from you guys instead of going on reviews alone. Preish.

If you want great navigation you can cut the w910 out first, the bluetooth is poor on it as well...just from my experience. The sony's are a great buy considering what you get and they really stepped up their game lately. The ipod integration is a little funny to work (I would always go to a dealer and play with a display to see what im talking about) but overall the radio is nice. Good quality screen and the tom tom nav is actually not bad.

Any reason you didn't go with a pioneer or kenwood in your options? The x930bt has very intuitive ipod/iphone integration, reliable and easy to use bluetooth, and the nav works well. The newer kenwoods like the dnx6160 is a good radio, its laggy out of the box but if you shut off animations it will speed it up considerably. It also has what I believe the best nav considering its all Garmin.

The Kenwoods are nice, probably have the best Nav and BT. I connected my iPod to one in a local shop. The lag is terrible and solely what's making me opt out. Always been a Sony fan but I've had mixed reviews on the units; heard Crutchfield was getting alot of returns on them. I'm actually considering going with Dynavin now. All the options I want and definately the cleanest look.

The alpine navigation is a 100 times better than either the pie in ear or the Kenwood
You should also consider a single din unit such as the alpine d511r ... The navigation and phone are both add ons but can be upgraded to whatever you wish

I run a d511r , with an 099 navigation unit and bt 400 for phone integration the package works superbly and is a lot faster and more user friendly than the Kenwood and pie in ear

I won't ever use anything other than Pioneer.

I am having this same debate at the moment. I have always loved Alpine, but can't afford the W910, so I am looking at used W505's. Problem is that if I want navigation and bluetooth then I have to add around $200 to the cost, yet 90% of the reviews of both modules indicate that they are not very good at all.

On the other hand I can pick up a Pioneer F930BT, which albeit has a smaller screen size, but comes with both navigation and bluetooth, not seen many complaints at all about either. If I am spending the money on a double DIN, I want it to have nav and BT, and for them both to work well, especially as I would be using those features more than I would watching movies.

I'm running the Alpine W900BT right now. Haven't had any issues with bluetooth. Navi is a little annoying to get used to at first as it gives you directions sometimes that aren't needed. Basically if there's a curve in the road it'll sometimes say "slight left" or "slight right" even though you're staying on the same road. Every GPS I've used though has it's own kinks so I just got used to mine. Sound quality is great and iPod integration is better than any other system I've used. VERY intuitive. Not sure what the differences are between the 900 and 910 but the 900 is probably more affordable if you need something a little less expensive.

The RNS-E radio Bluetooth is a joke if you have an iPhone! Only function it allows is to make a call and speak through car speakers. None of your contact info is viewable through the radio and you can't play the iPod without a factory or aftermarket add-on that allows you to plug in your iPhone. If you go that route you lose the use of the factory cd changer (even though I don't use it, I'd still like to have the option).

I'm looking into the Dynavin DVN-A4 radio now. Looks like the perfect factory look replacement.

I recently bought a 2011 GTI with navigation and that radio is awesome! Full Bluetooth iphone/ipod functionality, touchscreen, and very intuitive screens. I want that in my B7 S4!!!

I said for that price its better to add aftermarket addons and use rns-e. Yes, there are definitely newer units with better functionality, but your car is not 2011 either. And its hard to beat factory fit, finish, quality and integration with the car. Sell your old bluetooth module, get a 2011 version and your iphone will work fine.
