The air bag module in my 2002 Allroad is showing the 65535 - Internal Control Module Memory Error.

My module part number:
4Z7 959 655 C

Do I have to look for an exact match (last letter), or do

4Z7 959 655 E
4Z7 959 655 J

or even other part numbers fit (or can be coded with VAGcom to work on my car)?

Still trying to locate the airbag module 4Z7 959 655 C (number taken from VAGcom scan).
Nowhere to be found. Is it maybe listed under a different number?
VIN: WAUYP64B01N065672

Above, I wrote 2002, but its actually a 2001.

Any help/suggestions where to look and source a used one that fits?

This part number, 4Z7 959 655 C, supercedes to 4Z7 959 655 TB.
The E and J modules don't fall into your VIN range as per ETKA.

I can look for either part number?

We have new air bag modules below.

Thanks for the information.
I found new modules with the correct number plenty, but $900 (other sellers are also above $700) for new one is not possible.
Need used one (typical price $100 shipped).

Does anyone know if this module (and my car) have "roof airbags"?

Parts dealers always ask (I assume they don't know the module number so trying to match by equipment).

From the selection criteria below, what describes MY airbag module?

Part number: 4Z7959655C
VIN: WAUYP64B01N065672

Call your Audi dealer and give this this information, or look on the interior A pillar cover and if there is a plastic badge that says "Airbag" then it has roof airbags.

Thanks Scotty. Will take a peek right away.

Sometimes car-parts.com can be a little too detailed on VIN splits for the Audi's. If you look at the lack of salvage yards with module with "Air Bag, w/o roof mtd air bags " your best bet is "Air Bag, roof mtd air bags" . Also as Scotty has echo'ed in other threads, I've never seen an Allroad or A6 come (above the 2000 year) come without side airbags.

As I'm sure you have discovered your 2001 Allroad can ONLY take a module from a 2001, no other years work nor have the same connector.

Don't go buying everyone around the country either as I need on for my personal Allroad!

Yeah, with those airbag modules, I stick with 'matching numbers'!

This part number, 4Z7 959 655 C, supercedes to 4Z7 959 655 TB.

i had called my audi parts guy about this and he told me the same thing

it has to be either the 'c' or 'tb' no others will work
