Update: for sale for $450
Fully re-skinned baby bucket for the little guy. Audi Nappa leather, French seams, and silver stitching to match the S. Haven't done much else this year so I spent the rest of my 2011 mod budget on this one. [:D]

Dude....that's awesome. How much did that run you?
I tried to get Recaro to custom make the red/black, but they don't do custom upholstery. So I ended up getting the black ones since it goes well in both my cars' interiors.
In the S4,

Cute little ladies! Yeah, I had the same exact black microfiber one as yours. Just shaving it without the safety patches, netting, and other nonsense gives it a much cleaner look. Unfortunately, it cost 4X the price of the seat itself for the full reupholster. Since it's a Harness-to-Booster seat with a capacity of 120 lbs or 60 inches, I'll have it for many many years to come (hence, ignoring A5 SkiD's mood-kill comment above).

Thanks. Wow...4x the price. That's something I can't afford since I have 4 of those Recaro seats. Anyway, very nice looking upholstery.
BTW, you got the capacities backward. It's listed as up to 120 lbs or 60 inches. [:)]

This is AWESOME!!!!
I just purchased the same recaro prosport combo car seat to put in my TT. Hopefully it'll fit with no problems.
Would so do this but don't want to think about the maintenance and cleaning.
My son recently threw up in his Britax. Was not a pleasant cleanup but thankfully the cover was removable and i threw it in the washing machine.

Anyone have a problem with child seats leaving dimples in the main seat upholstery?

My sister uses these pads that go underneath the baby seat and protect the car from the seat and other baby things. Have you looked into that?

Dude, that looks BAD ASS.
I would however like to see a pic of that thing in 18 months from now. I have 2 of those exact Recaro car seats for my kids who are 3 1/2 and 2. In the 2.5yrs and 1 year that they've been in them they have soaked those car seats with milk, juice, piss, raisins, cheese, cookies and crackers. (most of the time those seats are in the wife's Denali... rides in the S4 are kinda rare)

I've got this and it works pretty well. It's made out of stiffer plastic/rubber than anything else I've tried.

I hear that we're not suppose to put anything underneath the car seat but that's just plain murder of your leather seats.

This seat is for sale if anyone is interested. I paid $260 for the seat and $1200 for labor and materials. My son sat in it maybe 20 times so it's virtually brand new.
