I really think this car would fare well from a stage 3-4 style clutch. I like clutches that dont slip or allow for much slippage at all better than OEM ones. Also would like a lightweight flywheel.

Im hoping someone makes one soon!

Not a fan of the stock clutch. Yes its easy but I like the grab point to be a little harsher! lol

Nothing wrong with this clutch it makes it very eas for non veteran manual drivers but I would like a more "solid" Grippy" "minimal slip and faster revving" clutch/flywheel combo.

CMON JHM or Clutchmasters!

This is something I would spend money on.

I'm gonna guess the S4 has the same funny clutch setup as the S5... if so its pretty unique.

JHM will be doing an S5 clutch, so hopefully they are similar enough to apply to you guys as well.

I have a feeling APR wont make a clutch/flywheel for us... I would bet they outsource it. Truly I prefer a company that will actually test on on our car and make it in house. I had a stage 3 clutch in a couple of my cars and I LOVED them. I would absolutely upgrade the clutch.

Also to the above poster, define "funny clutch setup on S5" I can let you know if its the same ( I bet it is)

Clutch master and south bend already have a clutch disc. You get a painted factory pressure plate and a new disc with aggressive clutch material. Already tried this and it slipping 1st - 3rd. We have been working on a new clutch setup, and to make a flywheel work without recycling factory parts, the cost to make the die is astronomical compared to market demand. We haven't given up, and will try different material and see what happens, wish us luck.

Good luck! Im sure you guys will pull through. Even if right now the market demand isnt huge (I think it may be once clutches start dying) the market will grow quickly. You have the S5 and S4 markets. I want a reliable and quality upgrade. Cmon Dave you can do this for us!

this scares me....sounds like a clutch replacement/upgrade is going to easily cost over 3,000 huh

What was unique about it? Are you referring to how it was behind the half shaft? What affect does it have? Does it just make the install more difficult or is there something else aftermarket manufacturers need to make?

looks/sounds (from eurocode's comment) like the flywheel piece is a single piece that incorporates the flywheel and the riser piece. Not positive, haven't seen a better picture of the whole setup (like a profile shot).
