Wow Jason! Looks really good actually. Am I able to retain my stock front splitter on my S4, and this attach under it, or do I have to remove the splitter? I think I would like this as an addition to the current front end, but I'd be on the fence if I have to remove the front splitter.

To answer your questions, I dont have any photos of the CF version just yet.
It is in production, but I'll be sure to update the thread as soon as I do receive any photos.

You will also not need to remove your stock center splitter to install this lip, so you will be able to keep it.

You can also consider picking up our CF Front Center Splitter as well as our CF Diffusor to match the lip :)

Here are some official answers to some of your questions:


1. Status of A4 Non S-Line Splitter is "in development". Prototyping will finish this week and go into production Mid September. As of now, we are looking at a launch date of mid November.
2. Stock center splitter will NOT need to be removed to install the lip.
3. Our CF version of the splitter is manufactured based on our CFRPT method. It is FRP overlayed with 2x2 twill CF + high gloss clear coat. Press photos on and off the car will be ready for public release Mid September (for S4 & S-Line)

We have some pretty big plans with Stvbek to produce many more parts in the future... however it takes some time.

At first i had the same issue. Compairing it to a simular lip, for example the JMS front lip. That one goes for sale at +-250-260€ around here.
The only difference is the fact the Stybek lip is fiber reinforced plastic. But last time i checked fiber (be is full matts or loose fibers) wasn't that expensive.
The tommykaira front lip, witch is nearly 99% identical :s (i thought japan copied stuff ;) ) goes at around the same price as the Stybek one witch is also FRC.
Not sure if the fact it is FRP it will be stronger compaired to flexible plastic. Afaik fiber will crack if it gets a decent punch...

I've been in contact with Stvbek regarding a lip for the S5.

Stvbek is currently in production on the S4/A4 parts, with S5/A5 parts planned for development in the future.
If we can show them the demand is there for the S5 parts, maybe we can speed up the process!

Waiting for something like the rs5 rear valence. I want something more aggressive than what is stock but not too much like the rieger kits. I feel like because the car is so subtle it should stay so if not it wouldn't flow with the car. This piece is a perfect example, looks great but I'll wait to see other pics maybe even in person before deciding if it's for what you're asking for it. Maybe some cf engine stuff to compliment the carbonio intake but I'm not sure I'll do that. My plans for the car with what's currently available is headers (maybe next year) and the stoptech bbk (hopefully here next week). I may or may not pick up the cf hood and trunk depending on the weight and fitment.

Some better lighting. Because it's a black piece in the shadows it hides the details a bit. If you could get that in bright sunlight I think it would clear up the center area where people are curious about.

+1, You need to have better photos taken to highlight the lip when it is on the car. You will most likely need some external lights, or flashes to give some detail and separation to the shot. The lip is in shadow in all of the car shots and gets lost.
If you are charging the big bucks for the product, just make sure that the final product shots look professional, otherwise you are only doing a disservice to the hard work that was put into the product.

dont even mention the JMS lip. I bought it and the fitment is AWFUL and for a piece of fiber glass (easy to break) to boot. I have been quoted by body shops anywhere from 600-800 cause molding would be the best option cause theres way too much gap. I contacted JMS to refund the lip but they won't believe me that the lip was not a "perfect fit" like they claimed, saying they have at least 10-20 cars that fit perfectly with no problems at all. Now they just won't reply my emails and I have a 400$ piece of plastic just sitting at the shop not knowing what to do. If you are in the area, go help me punch them for me!

Tommy Kaira's lip came out way before stvbek and TK is a well known tuner in Japan. So if anything, it's stvbek doing the copying here. The lips look identical, other than the sides of the stvbek kicking up a bit higher.


I don't know what are the chances of a new unknown company like stvbek designing a front lip splitter from scratch that just happens to look nearly identical to the Tommy Kaira lip. [:p]


I frequent the BMW forums and there are companies that commonly make minor changes to a well known tuner's product that's already popular and call it their own.


FRP fiber reinforced plastic is just fiberglass with resin. The tommy kaira, JMS and stvebk are all made of FRP so I don't think there is a big difference in durability. Though the Tommy lip seems to have an extra silver mounting piece.

The last time I checked, the TK lip was not only over $1000 shipped, but also took 3 months to get, so the Stvbek piece is definitely a lot more affordable. Also it sounds like they have a lot more things in the pipeline so I'm pretty excited to see the new stuff they push out. Also it looks like the Stvbek piece is more aggressive than the TK piece.

My only hesitancy is that I'm going to destroy the carbon lip within a few days here with L.A.'s crappy roads/steep driveways... [:/] Do you know how much lower it sits versus the bumper only?

Stvbek has actually gone and taken extra care to keep the lip profile as slim as possible.
At the lowest point of the stock front bumper, the lip is an additional 1 1/8" lower.

3M tape is recommended, along with using the predrilled holes on the bottom of the lip into your OEM screw points.
This will ensure a secure hold on the lip.

The FRP lip comes primered matte black, which can be installed as is.

But I would recommend getting it painted for durability reasons as primer is just primer and could flake off over time.

Got the lip today!

I'm still on the fence on wether to install the FRP lip as is or get it painted gloss black.

For sure I will scrape it's just a matter of time, but I will cry more if I spend $150 to get it painted and then see the damage.

It's a tough decision.

I received the lip from ModBargains a few days ago. Having dealt with a few manufacturers that make carbon fiber parts, I'll simply say that all parts are not made of the same build quality, but the CF lip spoiler from ModBargains/Stvbek is of really good quality. The part that I received was part of the pre-order process, and when I received it, I noticed that the fit seems to be precise. I held the part up to the front of the car, and all contours of the lip fit the contours of the car nicely. Within a day, I had started the installation, and about 10 minutes after the installation started, I was done.
The part is now installed and it looks great.
I'll post some pictures as soon as I get the car waxed, and cleaned up.

yea i got mine on saturday but due to a FREAK blizzard i had to hold off on the install, ill get to it this week tho, mine was of exceptional quality as well

I"m lowered with H&R Coilovers. Not much clearance, but that's what I wanted. The lip makes the front look very aggressive.
