New S8 owner!!!!

Unfortunately I can't post any pics while I'm at work but will once I get home!

My 2008 S8 just came in yesterday...and I'm already in love. It's Ibis White with black leather interior.

A few questions...

1) I really want to take out the wood trim and replace it with either a carbon fiber or that black wood trim I have seen. Any input on the best way to do this/places to buy it (can't seem to find it anywhere)???

2) A non-res Milltek is def in my future...thoughts?

3) What maintenance issues should I be on the lookout for? Car has 34k miles on it and from everything I can tell was well maintened for by the previous owner. I got the dealer to throw in 5 yr/75k mile warranty which made me really happy!!!

4) The girlfriend has a 2010 S5...her MMI and dash just seem brighter/more vidid...deeper reds and blues. Is this just an age thing or can I change this by updating my MMI (sorry, new to this whole thing [confused])???

I don't know the A8s well enough to answer number 3, but here are my other answers
1. Contact Matt@OCarbon. He is an advertiser on here and can set you up with some cf. You might have to send him yours, but he can do it I think and does great work, even colored CF
2. DO IT!
4. She has the newer MMI 3g, yours is the MMI2g. Not sure how easy it is to update the MMI because it is a combination of hardware and software tied to everything in the car. You might be able to plop in an MMI3g screen.
5. YES!

1) Matt@oCarbon will has get going for the trim.
2) Yes! It won't add any power to speak of, but it sounds awwwwwsome!
3) At 34K just drive it. That combination of year and motor don't really have any issues.
4) As Stubek pointed out, she has the newer generation of MMI. Don't sweat it.

Matt...that stuff looks great!! Do you guys ONLY do cf? What I'm really wanting is the black wood. Right now I have dark walnut (not sure about the actual oem terminology) and didn't know if u could color that black [confused]??? My other option I was thinking about was cf on the windows and dash and then trying to get that brushed aluminum on the center console...

As far as the pics...can't get the damn things uploaded on here. Didn't have time to do a search last night but will try again this afternoon!!

But if you can't justify the cost of the linked euro strip, do like I did and go to your local professional signs & decals store, buy a 1'x1' strip of matching (in your case gloss white) vinyl adhesive sheet for about $5, cut around orange light with 1/4" overlapping border, and tuck into seams around light.

No one will know there is an orange light underneath. I've had it on for over a year through every season with numerous car washes of every kind and no issues or signs of wear.

What's up guys!

So I'm going on 5 months since I bought this thing and I couldn't be happier. Haven't done much to it expect tint the windows, but I will post pics when I get home.

A few weeks after I bought it I started hearing this whining noise at low RPMs so I took it to the local Audi dealer who I have a good working relationship with (non-audi). It was low on power steering and luckily the car came with the Audi care so everything was topped off at the 35K check-up. Been running like a champ ever since.

Outside of that scare, and the ridiculous gas prices this thing has been an absolute dream to drive. I now understand why they say you drive everything else, but pilot an Audi. It was probably a little out of my price range when I bought the thing, but to me, this is the type of car that you can expect to have for 10+ years and put north of 200K miles on. And at that rate, the car is worth every penny.
