Hello All,
I am lucky enough to have gotten a ADR V1 interface before AoA decided to put an end to ADR's fantastic interface. Anyhow, I have recently installed a Dension Gateway to use with my IPhone 4 and the two do not like each other resulting in the dash display flashing back and forth between the ADR readout and the Dension readout at a VERY fast rate. Anyone have any ideas on how to make the two work a bit better together? While I am mechanically inclined I am terrible with electronics and due not have a clue of where to start.

Thanks.

Cheers,
Jim

To allow them to work together you would need to implement a complicated solution. The easiest solution is just to remove the radio connection to the cluster, but that might not be viable to you.

Don,
What would that achieve?

Well if you removed the radio's connection (can communication lines) then the ADR would have complete control and no more flickering.. The downside is no more music display info in the display and some functions of the radio might be affected.

This is just a really good assumption but they both use a free channel on the display. Since they are both trying to access it its confusing the car. What don was saying was that if you found an engineer who could design a complicated circuit to allow them to switch you could use them both together. Chances of finding one that will do it for cheap are slim to none. I would just pick one of the devices and disable the other.
