Could use some advice/ diagnosis. Car is a 2002 Audi TT 1.8 . Engine just died while coming off highway exit and will not restart. Car was running perfectly fine before hand. It has power and cranks, but will not start. The timing belt was changed a year ago, so don't think that is it. Checked all fuses and can here the fuel pump start when key is turned on. Right before it died the oil light came on for a few seconds, but oil is also fine. The check engine light is not on, so can't check for codes. Any ideas?? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
It is also not out of gas, added more to be sure.
Fuel pump goes on when you crank not when you turn the key on it will stay on a few seconds after you let go they key ... Make sure its working cause they go often ... Even tough they usualy dont die while you drive

possibly blew off an inter cooler pipe? although the oil light would not make sense.
my guess is you snapped your timing belt. http://www.audizine.com/gallery/data/500/1910clips.JPG

Check for spark, mine does this intermittantly the ECU cuts spark to all the coils swaping the ecu rear quick works and it fires right back up
