These are the upgraded 710N diverter valves. Work the same as the ones in your car but will handle a little more boost if you decide to chip it

Just keep an eye on the classifieds. Search for diverter. People are always selling them. As Vinchenzo51 stated, if you want stock just make sure that they are the 710n's as those were the upgraded less problematic valves. If you want to go aftermarket, then forge, hyperboost, & 034 (they are pretty much the same as the forge's) are all good choices if you can get a good deal on them.

I'm probably going to order these, that way I'm safe for the future and won't have to replace if/when I chip. I was thinking about going with an APR stage 1 ecu tune, but then discovered today that I have a boost leak and have yet to figure out how bad it is. If it's a problem with the turbo itself, I was thinking about just upgrading to ko4's. Is that a stupid choice?

I appreciate the help! I think I'm going to order new, from the site vin posted.

710N is a great upgrade, and i'd suggest that. However, if you desire stock DVs I have two sets laying around that I don't really need.

Yup. Got a set of 2 good stock ones as well.

I am in MI.

I put Forge 007 in since everyone (including the known chip tuners) make a big deal about it. NO difference before/after.
Boosting 20 psi on custom stage 2.

But yes, the stock plastic ones look a little 'fragile' compared to the billet alu Forge.

On the other hand, I blew the throttle intake boot to pieces within a few days (and even the silicone one has a hard time to 'hold on', stock clamp just can't handle it; decent hardware store 3 1/4 inch hose clamp now on, next order of T-bolt clamps will include a large one. Then mount again; this time: clean both parts thoroughly (carb cleaner), than a bit of hair spray on the boot.

I assume a failing DV has about the same effects (no boost, limp mode; crawling home in idle (did not take ANY throttle) as blown intake boot.

Search the threads for "diy boost leak tester", it'll cost you $5-10 in parts and it'll take you 5-15 minutes to do the test. Works VERY well I might add.
