What should my expectation be?

I am prbably gonna be running a friend of mine on a "closed environment" next week at night sometime.

He has a B7 S4 6MT with Intake spacers, gutted cats (piggies), full exhaust, lw crank pulleys, JHM tune, and a couple of undisclosed mods (No forced induction stuff at all).

I have my B8 6MT with Miltek non res and some other things that arent for speed (yet) lol. I have Vaged in the dynamic mode for my throttle response and also JHM SS kit to speed up shifts. He says he is as fast a RS4s and he is not someone to exagerrate. Actually he underestimates alot. Im thinking he may be quicker.

Anyone have a clue how this may turn out?

Im not prideful so I wont care how the turn out is and he doesnt care either lol he just wants to see if all the money he threw into his car was worth it. I believe he may pull on me a little but like I said I am not 100% familiar with the B7 platform. I know a few hings but not so much about how each mod really helps them.

Seems like a driver's race to me. If both of you have a good launch and decent shifts, it'll be super close.

Are u doing from a dig or from a roll??

From a dig- its really a driver's race and how much u want to abuse your clutch. The fastest all motor JHM S4 runs ~ 12.7 in quarter IIRC.

If he is as fast as a stock B7 RS4- then it should be pretty close if you are doing rolling runs. Start in a gear and lower speed where he has no torque [;)].

If he is any faster than RS4 like u say, though I doubt it-- ull need an APR tune.

Do you need a camera car for this closed course [:D]

I think he will have the edge on you. Load on some APR software and that will end the debate.

Like everybody says it would be close. I dragged I guy with the same car as your friend (JHM tune and all the bolt ons), my car is stock except for coil overs and wheels. Lined up twice at the strip and pull on him twice (but slowly). I have DSG so could not launch as well his 6 MT, but manage to catch him at the end of the quarter. Should be fun.

Step on the brake; Step on the GAS; Release the brake as fast as you can - and continue till you redline, then shift back to 3rd and 4th gear.

Im not one to abuse my clutch hahaha. Ive done one serious launch onto a highway and it was brutal lol. We will be doing some rolling runs. Tsivas we are in Westchester county so if you want to come up for these runs just let me know.

I noticed with ambient temps coming down my car has more balls now.

I dont set my expectations high hahahah like I said no pride will be hurt on my end. I just wanna have some fun. Plus I think all those mods into a B7 cost more than I put into my car so he would probably feel a sense of happiness if he pulls on me (which actually is what Im expecting).

As most have said it'll probably be a drivers race. I had a B6 with pretty much the same mods as your friend. My personal feeling is that my car, stock, was faster than that car modded to that point but you never know. Definitely should be fun...doubt anyone will be running away with it.
