Swapped out my stock mirrors for power folding mirrors off of another a6 with the option, installed the new mirrors and switch and the power folding part of the switch does nothing, however the mirror lenses adjust with power like they should. I'm assuming there's a power wire or relay involved? Does anyone know how to make these work?? thanks in advance...

You've probably got some more wires to run.

That's because your stock harness does not contain the extra two wires that control the power fold option.

Consult Mr. Bentley and the wiring diagrams.

Lol nope. Never put much effort into it, might just sell my power folding mirrors and put the other ones back on.

none, its all there.

did this in my 2000. you just need to plug in the big double relay, no 361 i think .(above foot pedals)

just take it from the donor car or order it up, easy peasey.

would you happen to know which harness is needed please? I have just done this and no fold yet!

I’m trying to do this this morning and I went to plug my relay in and there was no connectors under there to plug it in to!? Just an empty relay cradle .... so where is it supposed to go? I’m now betting that you need at least heated mirrors to begin with to plug and play the option as you’ll more than likely have the relay there already, unless I’m missing something completely simple 🤷*♂️

My power worked too once plugged in just no fold power , so must feed from that relay and not the switch
