Arrive 08/29 delivery 09/12

First, I have already searched all threads regarding this so yes i know what the search tab is.

S4 has been on a ship since 08/16 and is due to arrive in MIA on 08/29.
Why does it take 2 weeks for a vehicle to arrive to its final destination 2 miles away on 09/12?

Before any of you say something like customs clearance or inspection, i own a trading company and clearing cargo in MIA port takes a maximum of 2 days unless the goods are subject to a random inspection. I assume audi sends quite a few shipments a year... so this should not be the case.

Any positive feedback would be appreciated.

In California, mine only took 5 days from port in San Diego to dealer in San Jose, but two things really impact this...
1. how long customs and inspections take. This time of year it is a little slower due to higher volume coming in. I know your comment about a trading company, I use to own one in upstate NY and have to deal with the New Jersey Port Authority
2. they have to wait for a full truck going your direction, which should not be a problem this time of year.

When I got my car, they told me 7-10 days port to dealer, then called a few days later and said it was here, so they are probably giving you worst case scenario

From my past orders, they have all said this but it never takes that long. Mine currently shows port arrived 08/26 and deaLer delivered 08/29

Mine sat in port over a week waiting on a truck to fill up

thank you all for the input. hoping that it arrives before 09/12 since i leave on the 13th for a 10 day trip.
