Guys, I have stumped the dealer and a couple of independent Audi mechanics here in town...Just my luck...Anyway to make a long story short. I got delayed working on the car, 2000 A6 2.7t 6 speed quattro, and the battery was discounted for two weeks or so. I reconnected the battery and low and behold the radio worked, no safe mode...However now the power windows don't work at all. Of course the windows are down....None of the swirches/controls on any of the doors work, the key operated window up/down function locke\s the doors but has no effect on the power windows. Checked ALL fuses just to be sure. All to no avail. ALL ideas and thoughts would be greatly appreciated. PS the sooner the better, the wife really wants the car out of the garage....

Sounds like the comfort control module took a dirt nap or whatever the equivalent is for an Audi. One a VW, it controls all the window functions. I can't imagine Audi being any different. If it is the module and if that stumped your Audi dealer, then I would never take that car back to them for anything. Not even an oil change, they might not be able to find the drain plug.

Can you hear the window at least trying to close? Can you hear the motor making any attempt. Or is it dead in the water. Did the dealer come up with any codes? Calimus pointed out the ccm which is where id start first. Next stop would be to pull the door apart and see if something is either loose or seized. How did they all go down last time? Did they all go down on their own over night?
