Coming from my white G37 I must say the S4 is superior in every way. The only thing is this black car is tough to keep clean! Even worse I literally clean my wheels everyday and without fail the next day they are ALWAYS dirty again (even when I don't drive aggressively at all)! I have the 19" prestige wheels BTW. Does anyone have any advice on products they use that may help keep my wheels clean from brake dust for at least more than a day!?

Apparently the brakes pads are made of compressed dust. It does get a bit better over time, though.

The best luck I've had keeping them clean is sealing them with Zaino Z-CS. There's just as much dust but it doesn't adhere as well, wiping or a quick hosing cleans 'em up pretty well for a while. Eventually that stops working too though.

Our StopTech Posi-Quiet pads offer OEM levels of braking power but about 50-60% less dust for not too much $ :)

Dealer service dude told me there is a lot of dust because the pads are soft which makes for better braking. Doesn't he know I need my car to look nice before it can stop right?

Wheel wax will not stop the brake dust but will make your rims a lot easier to clean.

Does it really work as well as those pictures show? As in just spray on and rinse off?

I bought some sonax and love it. The smell isn't the most pleasant but the product works well. If the dust has really built up you will have to do some light scrubbing but once they are cleaned up the regular maintenance is pretty easy. I think it's with the money.

I have a combo of Hawk ceramic brake pads and Armor all wheel protectant that gets me two weeks between cleanings. The wheels literally just need a rinse off with water after a week of driving. Just be sure to let it dry completely (an hour or so) and you should have allot less woe's. Even with my stock pads it made a huge difference from week to week when I washed my car.

Sonax is unreal. For the most part, you can just spray and rinse (use a power washer) unless you really want them squeaky clean. When I am just doing a standard wash, I spray on some Sonax with an atomizer bottle, let it sit for about 5 minutes, and then just power wash off.

Sonax is the shit. Although it's pretty pricey considering I typically wash my car twice a week.

+1 for this Armor All protectant. I can't say enough good things about it. Your wheels will stay cleaner WAY longer between washes with stuff. I had read mixed reviews on this site on it, but decided to thy it and am glad I did. My wheels look better with this stuff 2 weeks after washing than they did after 2 days without. As the poster above says, you MUST follow directions and let it dry at least an hour before driving car. Anyway, no I don't work for Armor All, but this stuff has made the brake dust far less of a headache on my car. I have an XC90 SUV as well, that thing is terrible for brake dust, prob worse than the S4..... I'm going tackle it next. [:d]

+3... I thought it had to be a gimmick, but definitely makes a difference.

Sonax is for tough jobs. If you are washing your car often get Icy from any local store. Its the best i've seen so far

I use this as well, works great... just make sure you apply evenly and allow time for it to dry. Like he said all it takes is a rinse and comes off.
