Made a few passes...

So... still no 11's... Car ran very strong... Conditions were better but not good... DA was still 2,700+ for all runs... Unfortunately, I made an early exit and the conditions were getting much better with the temps dropping with sun down...

Car 60 footed very very strong... everyone was in the 1.7x... not a single 1.8! Traps were better but not great... DA hurt... Not a lot of cool down time...

Shift hung up on 1-2… cost me .3-.4 Lost by .1791 on his dial of 13.50 running a 13.52 vs me dialing a 12.14 and running a 12.56… I run my worst time of the day because of the shifting issue… Dude dialed well as I think I did w/o the shifting issue… Sigh… Weather got much better too… 2 more rounds and I would have dialed 12.0x… I can post vids and slips if anyone cares…

Matt, The V was back… He actually has work done to the car… He broke into the 12’s tonight… like 12.80 at almost 117… I ended up talking to him… nice guy… Has a fast “drag car” this is just a toy for him… There was a new Z06 running high 12’s at 122… LOL Gotta love the drag strip… I wanted so bad to lineup with him…

Were these passes made with the APR CPS? If so did you feel it made any sort of difference across the runs that you could notice? Beside back to back track runs I'm curious to see how it measures up in real life as well.

Was the last run the only one where your tranny hung up? Seems to be such a sporadic occurrence for some. Great runs as usual though. Any of us would be jumping through the roof if we laid out a 12.1 [drive]

No, stock setup... Yes my tranny in auto mode has only hung up maybe 2 passes out of I believe it's 77 passes now... Sucked because the weather was getting better finally...

Yeah, I hear you... I'm a great stick driver... I still miss 1 or 2 out of 100 or so... I can't lie... It is what it is... I got delayed at the line as the bike class was finishing and the one dude lost a piece of metal on the track, so I shut the car down... Cool weather will help either way...

I can't believe that a V was going that "slow" down the track...wth. Did he have lead bricks in the trunk? Do those cars suffer badly from heat soak? With that much horsepower I'm at a loss how he couldn't muster up more (even with a bad driver).

Do you still have the LFCS on? If so they are probably making it so the pulley has no real improvement in top end power, though though it should still help ET with extra area under the curve. I love all the information you bring to the community but hate that some of our your resutls are bein tainted by this terrible product. Loooking forward to more results!

That is still absolutely horrible for a V with those mods. My friend has a modded auto V with pretty much the same mods and he's run [email protected]. Those cars are so much faster than our S4s, it's not even funny.

It seems you picked up a tenth on 1/4mile over your last run pre pulley (12.12 vs. 12.24) though some of that could be do to a better DA this time out. I think the cooling system will be money for you though, easily 11.xx!

Always does that... All B8 S4 DSG's that I have seen do that... hopefully someday someone will make a tcu tune...

I think the 3200 thing might be where it allows the engine to rev to at max as it's letting the clutch out in first, this is the max amount of slip the DSG allows, since it doesn't know you are about to hammer it, it doesn't immediately engage first - just speculation though.

Consistent 1.7 60' is so solid. Being away from the dsg for so long really made me forget how fast the damn thing shifts. Guy in the V's heart would have been broken if you lined up next to him.

Here's the 1/4 mile spreadsheet from the V forums. Looks like the guys who didn't run well aren't posting their times cause I have a buddy who ran a 12.6 at Richmond just a few weeks ago. I'm sure there are plenty more like that. Mid 12's looks about right for this car stock.
