Just got back from a couple weeks in California for my son's soccer tournament (they won!) and had a package waiting for me.

Had a full front clear bra done about a month ago so my V6T badges were removed. Ordered up some red supercharged badges and, while I was at it, I threw in a dipstick and the underseat storage bins.

Props to the ECS crew for their perfect service and to David at AudiEnthusiasts.com for his DIY on the storage bins.

Obviously badges and dipstick are a no-brainer but the storage bins are a PITA. Without David's tips and photos, installation would have been near impossible. With the instructions it was merely frustrating. Got it done though and am pleased with the additional storage.

Now my armrest storage area only has the frequently used stuff (cocaine, gun and condoms [:D])

I'm not a big DIY guy either, so the underseat storage bins kinda scared me off... lol would like to have it tho

Ecs has really nice pics of the bins on their site. They test fit and left a set on my car.

That's pretty damn cool. I'm gonna have to order me a set. I like the cigarette lighter flashlight too.

Cigarette flashlight is very cool...but you will not be able to close the door on the cigarette lighter flashlight if you have it charging. But it holds a charge for a very long time and it fits perfectly right next to it after charged up.

I have the storage bins and love them...the install isn't that tough...hardest part is getting 1 of the screws threaded in a nut on each bin. One of them you are kinda guessing where it is...but be patient and you will get it.

Yep, but some of us have different thresholds of patience. At one point, after I thought the screw had caught the thread for about the 10th time and then fell down onto the carpet *again*, I was ready to drive over the f'ing things [headbang].

However, the pain is worth it because they are useful and clean up the unfinished look under the front of the seat.

In driving in to work this morning, I also found another little annoyance in that the bins are hard plastic so if you have something in there like a pen, it rolls back and forth and rattles every time you brake or accelerate. For those contemplating the bins, you might want to quickly line them (before installation!!!) with a piece of thin felt or something similar, or just use the bins for soft goods.

FYI to everyone. I just got off the phone with my parts department and when he looked up my VIN, he said these are supposed to be in my car from the factory. I said I havent seen any US car with them and like most things in Europe(Safety Triangle, First Aid Kit) have been deleted for the US market. He said I can put in a warranty claim for it since its on my VIN and try to get them put in my car.
