I have been looking into getting a wotbox for my A6. I will only use it for occasional launches not interested in the no lift shift feature. Anyone have experience on an A6 with this? I searched but only found a opinions and not first hand experience.

Yes, search the A6 as well as the S4 forum. There was a long thread about this a while back, but I think in the S4 section. I was the first one to put a wotbox on a 2.7 and helped them develop the install procedures. Some of the pics on their install pages are my car. If not abused and your equipment is good, they are great. If your clutch is already weak, it will be the death of it. I never had any issues but some have. Mostly due to bad equipment or abuse. No lift shifting is amazing!

EDIT: Search is your friend=

And NO, they do not always result in shooting flames. That depends how rich/lean you run and the delay time you program in the unit. I did at first but no longer do after tune revisions.

i definitely am looking to get one for my a6, just for the NLS. my only issue is i dont have a clutch switch in my a6, its bypassed for my remote start/alarm. i'd have to figure out another way to go about it. any sugguestion. i still have the cruse control one.

You need the clutch switch for either feature. Perhaps the remote start can be wired differently to get the signal it wants to see? I definitely recommend wiring the clutch switch back to normal if you plan to use the wotbox. I would not rig that part, but the remote start is probably more flexible with what it wants to see..

my thing is im thinking i can get a clutch switch signal out of the switch for the cruse control. Theres multiple switches on my clutch line so i figure i can get a signal thats going to work from one of the others for engaging and disengaging i currently have LC set through my VAST tune and with no clutch switch and it works fine, speed based so i'll see

i know that but what are you saying ? like use a relay to trick my remote start and trick the wot box?

Trick the remote start. The wotbox needs as accurate of a signal as possible. It cuts ignition measured in milliseconds, so a millisecond delay could make a difference. If your remote start gets a slightly delayed signal it's not tragic.

8520 has the right idea tho for sure. Use the relay for your remote start, and a normal set up clutch switch for the wotbox..

Technically it's not tricking the rs, it is doing it the right way as keeps the clutch switch enabled during normal operation.

That being said, I bypassed my clutch switch completely as I hate them.
