So I hear that the strat STS is just basically that bottom piece of the shifter mechanism and the JHM is the whole thing. Since strats shortens the throw a little more and JHM the height and reverse spring and mechanical feel has anyone though to swap the bottom piece of the JHM with the strat piece and make a hybrid STS? Would this even work/?

I'm interested in the sts but I've heard that it wears out syncros faster?

Heard this as well but its always come down to installation error causing that. I know I will be getting mine installed at my speed shop and they did quite a few

In addition to the precise throws, the JHM also shortens the throw. There's 2 settings- 25% and 40% shorter throw, depending on how you mount it. It comes with that extended mount piece which I assume is the same as the Strat piece alone so from my perspective, you'd end up buying the Strat piece to replace the bottom of the JHM for only the extra 5% (Strat claims 45% throw reduction). That being said, I'm not sure the Strat piece mounts/fits onto the JHM shifter. $150 seems high for another 5%.

strat shortens throw more, and JHM is lower in physical appearance. I'm sure JHM will satisfy all your needs

i want 40% reduction in throw. Another car ifelt mustve only had the 25% cause it didnt feel incredibly shorter. Anyone know what I should tell my Eurotech guys to get it to 40% reduction? Richi in 5,4,3...
