I am looking at upgrading my current deck to something with touch screen, iPod, and Bluetooth capabilities. I am trying to decide if I want to take the installation on myself or have someone else do it. I have done some stereo installation prior, on my own car not professionally, so I am not completely new to this. My issue comes from the fact my amp is going out. So far I believe two channels have died. What I would like to do is run all speakers off the deck and let the amp run the sub. Does anyone know either how to do this, is it extremely difficult or just a matter of some simple rewiring, and how much a project like this should cost for a professional to do it?

I am not a professional but I can tell you from my experience replacing the head unit in my B7...
I would do the basics of the install but leave the amp portion up to a local shop. I was able to get everything working fine except the back speakers. I don't have Bose. I am going to take it to my local guy soon. He'll probably charge $100-150 for that part. Otherwise, get most of it out of the way yourself. Pretty easy. Oh, and dont get the Sony XNV-770BT like I did..it blows!
