Ok. So I'm getting the code "camshaft position timing retarded-over bank 2" . The car runs great no noises or anything, so do I change the camshaft adjuster? Or camshaft sensor.by the way the car is a 2001 A6 4.2 .. Thanks in advance :)

I had that code. ended up being my chain tensioner.

Not all chain tensioner failures are catastrophic, but they are expensive.
I've got a kit that contains all the parts (except for the cam bolts they can typically be re-used once).
