spent the last couple of weeks back home, and couldn't help dropping by the Audi delearship to check out the A3 Sportback...

didn't get to test-drive any of them unfortunately, but at the same time it might be a blessing... driving the 2.0T might not have been a good idea considering that the Avant is still not chipped...

here's the pics...

so while i was taking the pics posted above, one of the salemen came out wondering what the heck i was doing and why i was taking pics... so after explaining to him that i was from Canadia, that the A3s had not yet arrived on our shores and so on... he offered me to go in the back as they had just took delivery of an A3 Sportback 2.0TDI S-line, ordered 7 months!!!

yup that's right, back home, if you don't find your car on the lot there is a 7 months wait... [eek]
apparently Audi isn't producing many of them and these things are quite in demand all over Europe...

anyway here's the pics, not the best ones given where the car was parked...

among other things, the car had 18" RS6 wheels, leather & speed cloth combo sport seats, DSG... yummy... [hail] [drive]

We have different quotas here in the states. We get so many and that is that. I waited 5.5 months for my Avant. It depends on when you order as well cause they don't make all models all year.

ours was produced in 28 of February and arrived today, first of April... I´m in Portugal.. it took more time than our loaded A6, so, as Avantéix said, they are taking a lot of time..

And by the way, the s-line A3 looks like it has the spacers still installed and I am pretty sure the car would sit lower.

The S-Line's RS 6 style wheels are so much nicer. So hot!

What spacers do you mean?
The s-line in the pics sure looks a bit tall..

crazy how much de-badging changes the look of a car.

When cars are shipped, they install spacers in the springs to avoid ground clearance issues with trucks, trains and boats.

i'm probably being captain obvious, but for the longest time i couldn't decide why i liked the front of the a3 so much more than the a4.

it's the headlights. the a3's lights are clean and staright, while the a4's have a wierd shape to them.

that is all, carry on.
