Is anyone running Hartmann's HTTRS wheels on a B7? I have searched all over and have not found any pictures of these on a B6 or B7.
Hartmann's site says they will fit all 1996+ A4's yet it says the center bore is 66.56. Safe to assume I would need to run a hub centric ring for these? I have little to no experience with hub centric rings. Any downsides to running them? Are they easily removable? I'm thinking in the case of getting a flat tire if I have to switch to my spare which is 57.1 center bore is it just a matter of popping the ring off? Will I have any rubbing issues with a mild drop and 32 offset (looking at the 18" option).

rings are fine
you would need 66.6-57.1
get plastic
yes they are sort of easy to pop on and off...sometimes they get a little stuck
and no you would not have any rubbing issues...shoudnt at least

i may be wrong but going from 66.6 to 57.1 (htf did they come up with such stupid numbers??) the hubcentric ring would be put on the wheel not the hub, to make the diameter of the wheel's hubcentric ring (66.1) smaller (57.1) so i dont think you would have any issues if you got a flat and needed to use your spare bc the hub centric ring would most likely stay on the wheel i could be wrong tho, vbrad knows more about wheels then i do
as for rubbing, completely depends what tires you are going to end up running but the wheel itslf won't rub

it does not matter where you put the ring...
you can shove it in the bore of the wheel or shove it on the hub on the car...
sometimes the rings will get stuck one one or the other though
in some cases yeah if you take off the wheel the ring will be stuck in the bore of the wheel
other time (and i feel this is most often the case) you take off the wheel and the ring is stuck on the hub
in which case you would want like a flat head screw driver to pop it off for if you needed to put the spare on
and like i said i recommend the plastic ones because the metal ones tend to rust or whatever it is they do to the rub and then it will be quite difficult
worst case is that you break a plastic ring...but they can be easily replaced...i have broken 2 already

I made this thread a month ago, this is my setup, similar wheels but with the gun metal finish. I love them.
Ps: I use hub centric rings, cost 35$ for me to buy. Shop said either type aluminum or plastic were good just use never-seize on either application. Those exact measurements are the ones ive got, no vibration or issues to date.

vbrad / mr shickadance:
Thanks for the help with the hub rings, that boosts my confidence level about this.
mr shickadance:
Tires will be 235/40/18
stevo:
Wheels look great on your car. That helps with my decision. Are those 19" I assume?

with that size tire, you may see a slight rubbing issue on between the rear bumper and your tire, you can remedy this by adding a bit of camber to the rear. but i currently am running 235/45/17 which i know is a totally different tire and wheel size but i have rubbed on a few spots with stock offset (45 i think?) on the back bumper cover.
its nothing major and only happens when i take a big dip on a certain point on i-84 going through waterbury, but since i travel that highway twice a day it has led to rubbing through the black wheel well schtuff
you should be ok 99% of the time tho, and if you adjusted rear camber you might solve the problem entirely, im a lazy shit tho

Ok great, thanks. Very good to know. I think I'm going to go with Eibach springs so I'm not looking at much of a drop at all. Hopefully I'll have little to no rubbing. Thanks again.
