Are all 4spoke MFSW's the same???

My question is more in reference to fitment and functionality of the buttons on the wheel. For example, if I swap out my 4 spoke MFSW for another one, would I have to recode??? If I have paddle shifters and the new wheel doesn't, would I have to recode and viceversa?? Thanks.

If functions between the 2 are different than yes you have to re-code to reflect the new wheel.

To answer your question simply --NO, they are not ALL the same. Not only are there two different "guts" to the airbag cavity (old style is an open cavity, new style has "nipples" that the airbag aligns with), there are also two different styles of connectors for the paddle shifters into the multi-function buttons (there are the "older" style that use a mini-molex connector and the "newer" style that use a ribbon cable). If you get an "older" wheel you will probably be safe, but do your research on what you are buying. Not all "new" style guts have "new" style connectors either. My "new" style guts wheel uses mini-molex connectors for the paddle shifters.

Plain and simple, don't buy it unless you *know* it will fit or you are ready to do some (potentially dangerous - airbag) experimentation.
