2005.5 2.0T FSI with 93,000 on the clock. Motor runs flawlessly but I was aching to pull the fuel pump, so I did.

I was very relieved and excited to pull the follower in this condition out. Cam lobe was smooth and no sign of wear on the fuel pump tip. It is a whacky design with the cooking pot looking follower, but it works.

The PO never changed anything on the motor besides the DV and sythetic oil every 3,000 (for my benefit). What I did within last few months of ownership, and that HAD to be done...

- Full timing belt job including new serp belt tensioner
- rear coolant flange (o-ring was toast and this was a serious PITA job)
- new plugs BKR7EIX to replace factory originals (had a lumpy idle but 90k+ on originals is a lot)
- new coil packs from Audi recall
- cam follower

So far I like the FSI 2.0T

That's pretty good for almost 100K miles!

I think the oil change upkeep saved the day on that one. I gotta check mine, almost at 60K miles.

To add to the list I also replaced the EVAP valve ($12 part at the dealer). PCV is holding up so far but I'll keep an eye on it. Gas mileage is pretty good, I get 400 miles per tank on average but on Saturday I switched to 245 tires all around so we'll see how that affects mileage; went from 225.
