CarMax - Ever sell them a car?

Just looking to get some first hand knowledge of what their offers are like.

I'm wondering how close to KBB trade-in value they come with their offers. I would be happy with $500 less then what my KBB trade-in value is on my car in "Good" condition.

The nearest carmax is a bit of a ride and trying to get some opinions before I burn the gas. Online so far the reviews have been about 50/50.

I had really disppointment when i went to carmax in schaumburg IL three years ago. I had brand new scion tc at that time and only been drove 3months with 4000miles. I bought it 19k with tax everything, they only offer me 9k for my cars, I was like wtf. My friend also sold his 06 A4 with 55kmiles recently, he only gets 8k. I think most dealers are better than carmax. Just a hands up, you may have much better luck than me

my dealer matched the quote that i got using autotrader's valuation tool.

it seemed to have captured all the options I had and valued them. It is lower than kbb, but not by much.
