Alot of people will paint them with plasti-dip. In order to get that chrome surround off tho, it requires removal of the bumper and then the grill. The plasti-dip looks great if you take the proper time to paint it correctly etc. If you use the search for "plasti-dip grill" plenty of threads will come up that can help you. I just plasti-dipped my grills and they look great.
I plan on doing the chrome surrond soon - GOOD LUCK!

how hard is the removal of the bumper and the grille?
I have a spare S-Line grille for sale and I'm in NNJ area if you want to have as a spare. It's a perfect candidate for plastidip or painting since the grille recently got scratched up and the clearcoating that is on it flaked off in certain areas. I can let it go for $100. Link as a bunch of images.
