got a new 99 avant wth 160000 miles trying to upgradeREAD....advice!!!!

The car i have is in mint shape for being a 99 and that many miles. was a company car so it was well maintained. I want to get it chipped, new intake, exhaust, turbo hose, etc. but is it worth it to put this into the car? i have 1500 saved up to throw into it but dont know what to do exactly. i was thinking also of getting a cheap basic engine rebuild then get it chipped nd everything else. or do i just make it look nasty, keep it stock, nd save some beans? INSIGHT NEEDED!!!!

99 Avant what? Not much information to go on.

But if you are going to ask if it's worth to dump money into your vehicle on an Audi enthusiest forum board, you will get a lot of mixed answers. But most of us are here to mod our vehicles, and there are people who will dump $15k into a 90 Quattro Coupe with no second guessing.
