Im pretty sure I just tore my second diverter valve on my car. Is this sort of thing suspicious to the dealership? The first one was replaced just fine but im concerned a second might raise some red flags. all i have is a stage 1 which i can return to stock mode with lockout. Im just paranoid and want some assurance, or validation of my paranoia. Thanks.
ps....i searched, a bit, and couldnt find my answer, please dont kill me.

My dealer replaced my DV twice no question asked. The last time it was with the new piston style so I am now done with it.

Yeh, when I got mine changed out in 2009 the dealer gave me the G revision. I'd advise requesting them use the D revision.

I just replaced mine with the D version after going stage 1. Just curious though, how did you know your dv was bad?

I just recently replaced my DV with the D revision after getting APR Stage 1 and receiving boost leak codes. Just 2 days ago, after going on it for a little... the codes showed up again.
Hopefully it's no biggie, car runs fine. I'm guessing it's a boost leak again? Maybe PCV

well the first time mine went bad i heard a noise when letting off gas when in higher boost, and fuel economy seems to go down a bit, same noise and same loss in fuel economy again

which dv do you currently have? did you replace the B with the G? The D is the latest so i could see u going thru 2 if youre still on G.

im not really sure which one, they said it was the latest revision of it...trying to find the work order from them to see if it says
edit: found my invoice, they call it a bypass valve but i think its the same....the part number was 06H-145-710-D....does the d mean rev D?

so does that mean it should not have torn at all? It doesnt sound as bad as last time when they had to replace it, but i do hear the woosh sound when letting off gas when in boost periodically

the D revision can not tear.... that is why people upgrade to it
its a "piston" style, not a diaphram
