I'm getting really bored living the lowlife in my b7 avant and was thinking of taking it in a new direction.
I've always loved the Allroad and was thinking of converting mine into an a4 version (maybe slightly more extreme). Can anyone confirm whether the allroad (or A6) springs and shocks could be swapped over with little or no modifications? I also wouldn't be against getting some custom springs made. There are quite a few manufacturers around, even in socal, that I'm sure could probably do this. But to keep things as close to OEM would be cool.
I'm thinking with my current mods, a set of overfenders, some 18x9.5 on meaty tires could look pretty cool.
Current mods:
APR Stage 2-**> keep
APR Exhaust-**>keep
APR Snub-**> keep
Carbonio-**> keep
JHM Shifter-**>keep
Brembo 355 6pot BBK-**>keep
Vogtland CO **-> replace with allroad or custom LIFTED suspension pieces (looking @ 1-2" over non-sport height).
HSport sways-**>keep
DTM Front bumper-**>keep
DTM Sideskirts-**>keep
Votex Rear Valence-**>keep
Votex Rear Spoiler-**>keep
ADD 3" overfenders
Staggered 19" real deal BBS LM's **-> replace with 18x9.5 Enkei NT03 on 255/45 tires
Flame suit on, Bring it!

all roads sit on air ride suspension and i dont think the components would swap over to an a4.

Hey, me thinks the Allroad was a Passat Chassis or A6 convert? However, I would bet some of those parts are very similar. Good luck modding!

That's what I liked about the loaner Allroad I had. That variable suspension height was nifty!!!!

Selling really isn't an option...I special ordered it in 06' (Arctic White, black leather, 6spd ) and it only has 23k babied miles on it. It's about as pristine of a car as you'd ever find inside and out, as I babied it like my child it's entire life. I'm not about to strip it down and sell it for a measly 16k. Or get lowballed by some snot nose kid who couldn't tell the difference between real LM's and reps! Believe me it's happened a few times.
I've been thinking about it more and I'm definitely going through with the transformation. Immediate game plan is to run stock non sport avant V6 springs/shocks for the front. I'm hoping for ~0.5" over non sport 2.0 height. And for the rear I'll run my stock non-sport oem shock/springs with a 0.5" aluminum spacer. Should net at least +0.25 if not more. This should get me the slightly lifted look I'm after, at least until I can find a good alternative. I also just ordered a 14 to 12 mm stud kit and 12mm pcd variation nuts so that I can finally run my 18x9.5 et.27 Enkei's. Gonna check tire sizes but I'm thinking a 255/40 all around. Last piece of the puzzle will be the flares. I think I'll try and run some mini zg flares just over the of the openings for coverage. Stay tuned!!

Here are some pics from nearly 5 yrs ago LOL!! The funny thing is, the car looks exactly the same only much lower and with a front & back BBK. And believe me the body is in the same condition!

Thanks, yeah it'll be in the family a long time.
I'm searching for a bagover set up to use with my stock non-sport shocks/struts. The goal will be fully deflated = non sport height, ride height (30-40psi) = +1.0"
Suggestions ?

Arctic White?!?!?! Love the color, kinda dislike my ibis white when parked to more white cars. Makes mine look dirty/tan...
Call up dick shine. He does tons of custom suspension stuff for vw/Audi.

Haha lol! I'm not trying to go quite that high! Anyhow I sent bagyard an email.
I think I'll need to find a taller version of their Aerosport as the fully extended length is still only 9".
Either that or I'll need to relocate my stock lower spring perch higher to give some lift.
All I'll need to sit at non-sport height when fully aired out will be some bumpstop tuning.
