I have a set of 19x9 et. 44 OEM A8 S-line Wheels that need to be powder coated, you could get them done in GOLD or any color you like.

I think they would look great on your ride!

What about J the Dub wheels? (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/408436-FS-SSR-Professor-SP-1-19x8.5) Local sale, good guy, cool wheels.

The only thing about the SSR's is the offset, it is too low for the A3 since they need the adapters. I agree though, they are awesome, if only they could be re-drilled...

Johns wheels would be awesome but after i did the calculating the other day, they would be the wrong offset and too wide for the A3. the ET44 is fine but then you add the 15mm adapter and you get too low of an offset and would rub like crazy.

15mm adapters are about the thinnest you can get, your best bet is having them re-drilled, but I think John already tried to go that route and said it was not possible.
I will text you a little later.

I wish my wheels would fit your car. I looked into getting them re-drilled and was told that going from 5x100 to 5x112 is not possible. The wheels are a 47 offset and and with the 15mm adapters they were flush on my car but would poke a little bit on the A3. [:D]
What's your budget? There's a lot of choices out there. Good luck making up your mind,it took me a while to decide on some new wheels.
