Whats up guys?
The other day I noticed a dealership by my house has this 06 a4 for sale and noticed the price was pretty damn low, I know its hard to tell
from an ad but I was thinking about having a certified audi mechanic take a look at the car before I do anything but if the car checks out fine
it seems like a good deal.
Is there anything I should know about the 06's or anything I should ask the dealer? I dont want to buy a pos so any help would be great. Thanks

I'd be skeptical. Judging by the seats it looks like it has a lot of wear on it. I'm betting it was damaged in someway. A car like that should prob still be around 14-15k.
just a side notes, odds are that coin drawer is stuck too haha
Also I'd edit that part apart the carfax acct or else someone will lock the thread. Saw it happen yesterday.

Hmmm, I got my 06 pretty much loaded with everything minus nav... with 60k miles for 15,999... so I don't think that pricing is radical for 86,000 miles...

It also depends on the type of dealer. If they are a no haggle the price will probably start lower than other. If it is a smaller independent dealer it will also be lower to persuade people to look there over a larger used car dealer. Just some thoughts, could be legit but I'd def get it checked out still.

well i wouldnt let an accident scare you away
but of course it depends on the accident...if it was just a little fender bender with a replaced bumper cover then who cares
im pretty sure mine was rear-ended...
edit: if i were to buy that car though i would want to make sure the timing has been done...

It looks like the trunk and fuel filler door don't line up 100% and the paint match not the bumper doesn't seem to match the fender on the passenger side...
It a fair deal to me. Nothing special.

I got my 06 A4 from the same dealer. Same price with 95k on it. They have the biggest car lot I have ever seen. 450 odd cars. Go have a look - you may find something else if not this. The website is outdated anyways (behind by 2 weeks). You can go have a look at their open car lot. PM me for more details.

I agree, for the miles it does not look that bad. The one thing that appears odd to me is the condition of the seats, I have almost 95k on my Avant, and the seats do not look anywhere near as worn as those. Granted, that could just be how the owner took care of them, but I would wonder about what other maintenance has been done. I would at least want to know if the timing belt had been changed.

my a4's an 06 and it had alot of motor issues. I have a brand new 2.0t now and it runs fine. The older models have alot of issues mainly the cam follower one. On the new motors that isssue was addressed and no longer exists. If i had to buy this car again id go 2008+

thats just crap...you do know a majority of the people here probably have 5.5 to 2007 and where are all their problems?
the only people that have cam follower issues are those who let it become an issue
just sayin'

Price looks about right. I got a 2005.5 pretty much loaded with 65k miles for a little under $15,000 in great condition. I got mine from an Audi dealer - someone traded it in and the dealership couldn't certify it, so they wholesale it from a lot across the street...
