I assume this would solve with the obnoxious oil consumption problem? I'm at about 1000-1100 miles per quart now and Audi said they wouldn't do anything.

Is there going to be a fitting to prevent us B7 guys from damaging our hoods?

yup that fitting will damage our hoods, and that block off plate does not fit the hole for our turbos. This is a picture of the valve cover off a mkv GTI or Jetta.

Is there any more info on how this eliminates the stock PVC system? More specifically, how is this plumbed differently?

We lowered the boss on the Valve Cover so that the -10 fitting sits lower. We'll get our B7 in the bay and take photos for everyone

The boss on the valve cover has been lowered on this run so the fitting sits lower. We will have a B7 in here to take pics of it installed later...it fits

Where to find a spare $499... I could even come pick it up since you guys are not far from me at all. My valve cover looks like crap, and I like to keep the plastic cover off so this would make my engine bay look very nice.

Any info on the PCV question? Thanks

viziers
05-24-2011, 06:02 AM
Yes it fits, but unless you have it sitting just right it will then hit the hood.... That is also an somewhat outdated pic as my engine bay has changed slightly to no MBS to a EBC and that pic shows the MBC...

P.S. Eurojet knows this. It was changed I think because Easty or Dougy and I notified them as we were one of the first to try it on our B7's and found the rubbing issue for B7's only (this VC was designed for the transverse motors)......

what would the total price cost with powder coating?

Jeff@RevoUSA
05-24-2011, 09:38 AM
With our valve cover it eliminates the rear pcv hose or side in the B7s case and vents all vapors through the top of the valve cover. From there its sent into the catch tank. We provide a block off for the inlet on your compressor housing. Here are some pics below of the under side so you can see the baffling.

If you guys want them coated its $50

Does this have any performance benefits? or is it just for looks?

It's cosmetic

Jeff@RevoUSA
05-24-2011, 01:55 PM
It eliminates all the factory PCV provisions so none of the blow by oils are sent back into your engine. This coupled with a catch can helps with the carbon build up issue. If your blow by gets bad enough as most VW/Audis do you will get blow by oil into your FMIC and that can hinder the effeminacy of your FMICs cooling

The fitting doesn't interfere with the hood. Joel and Ronnie are working on a catch can/bracket for it too. Ill have better pics but here is a cell pic for now

As of now here is how the B7 sits. The owner said there is a noticeable change in the way the car drives throughout the whole power band. We also found a lot of blow by oil making its way up past the coil packs. We are working on a bracket for the catch can. Once that is done we will have some more pics
