Yesterday I finally got around to installing my AWE Boost Gauge. I am having some issues with it and was hoping to get some advice.

1) The lights for the gauge come on as soon as I unlock the doors (same as my emergency 4 way button). Whether my lights are on or not, and thus my normal gauges on or off, the boost gauge is lit.

2) While the boost gauge lights up properly when the engine is off or if the key is turned so that the electronics are on, as soon as I start the engine, the gauge starts flickering and wont stay properly lit.

3) It is not reading boost properly. Yesterday it would do the full sweep at start up, but would land on some random number and pretty much stay there throughout a test drive. Once i was "boosting" 30psi the whole time. Another ride, 20 in/hg. Today, it wouldn't do the full sweep, and has stayed at 15 in/hg.

I have checked the lines and none of them are pinched. Also all the electrical lines are where they should be. Not really sure where to start the troubleshooting. If anyone has had similar issues or knows how to get it fixed, I would appreciate.

Thanks in advance.

Wasn't there an issue a long time ago with the gauges being calibrated incorrectly so the gauge would read say 15 as zero. Maybe making that up but I thought I remembered that. Have you called awe?

Not yet. But even if the gauge is improperly calibrated that way, it still isn't reading boost. I checked the lines again today, and there are no pinches, and none of the zip ties are clamping down on the hose, so im out of ideas, unless the boost unit itself is bad.

That's also possible, didn't understand the origi al post I guess. If all of your lines are correct that's really the only answer.

Scan for codes, something might pop up. Maybe the gauge itself is tweaking out? Just throwing some ideas out there

Remove everything to stock. And reinstall completely. Also tap the power line for the vents lighting in the open/close vent roller. It will then dim with your headlights. And make sure you boost line is taut at all anywhere. Give it lots of give. If not you have a crap guage get it replaced.
