single exhaust tip for b5?

My exhaust tip is pretty rusted but i was wondering if you could find a single tip for the b5 instead of the dual? if so where and its just a matter of unscrewing the bolts on the stock one and doing it for the new one correct? or is there welding?

There is welding since the stock pipes are welded to the muffler. You are probably better off getting a new muffler, Id suggest a single oval tip.

I beg to differ... I like my oval tip, and some others can look good. Though, I also like a good 3'' dual tip set up.

I agree with everyone else. Single tips look weird and out of place. If the car has 2 tips stock then leave 2 tips when you get a new exhaust.

The cut out for the exhaust is the wrong shape for even a large oval outlet. Stick with dual tip.

Nothing wrong with single oval tip...the B5 bumper cut-out is designed for both twin round, and single oval. The 1,6 8V and 1,8 20V n/a have single ovals, and they don't look out of place.

Does anyone know how a magnaflow sounds with a non resonated exhaust? I've got a custom 2.5" exhaust all the way from my 3" HFC but I have a shitty single tip exhaust on there for now. I want to switch to something different, but have nothing to base sound on. I'm looking for silence (or close to it) around town and at highway speed.

Any suggestions?
